Irene was born and raised in San Diego, California. Ever since she was a little girl, she had a deep love for all animals, sharing her home with cats, rabbits, and a dog. She knew that helping and protecting animals was her calling in life and took her first step towards that calling in 2003. Irene has worked in the veterinary field since 2004, but in October 2012 we were lucky to have her join our GAC family. She has a kind spirit and a naturally loving nature. Aside from her love for all animals, Irene enjoys spending time with her family and friends. You can often find her and her husband taking a day trip to Disneyland, joining in on Comic-Con fun, taking in the sights of San Diego, or spending quiet evenings at home watching movies and playing board games, video games, or canasta. She also enjoys archery and is a big Padres and Chargers fan, Go Home Team! Irene takes pleasure in meeting people and their fur babies, but especially takes joy in helping to better the life of an animal or helping them to get over an illness. Irene is always happy to share in stories and memories, so please be sure to share a smile and say a friendly hello to Irene the next time you visit Governor Animal Clinic.
