Our Story: A Legacy of Trusted Veterinary Care
Governor Animal Clinic has been caring for pets since 1977, when Dr. Ronald Schechter founded the practice with a vision of providing high-quality veterinary care grounded in integrity and compassion. Over the years, that vision has grown alongside our team.
Dr. Kirk Feinberg joined in 1987, followed by Dr. Julie Sorenson in 1998. As the clinic continued to expand, Dr. Kathy Kaleka came on board in 2001, and Dr. Heather Oman joined in 2003. In 2007, we proudly welcomed Dr. Marie Benitez, further strengthening the expertise and collaborative spirit that defines our practice today.
